2022 Events

After a year of virtual events and zoom calls, we at Wisconsin Microfinance were thrilled to return to face-to-face fundraising events in 2022 after the alleviation of COVID limitations. Spreading the word about our mission at is only possible by sharing our story and forming real connections with our donors. In-person, these connections and interactions mean so much more.

Winter Gala 2022 – Ghanaian Epicurean Evening

Wisconsin Microfinance’s 2022 dinner gala, called a Ghanaian Epicurean Evening, was a huge success. We would like to thank everyone that came out for this fantastic night including Ben and his wife Dr. Tilly Brako, our We R uS partners in Ghana. We were delighted with a wonderful four course meal prepared by Chef Sean Fogarty of Steenbock’s on Orchard. Above is a picture of Chef Fogarty explaining each special Ghanaian dish. We had a couple goals for this gala and we’re proud to say we met them both. We wanted to share our accompishments from the past couple of years and raise funds for our new programs in Ghana and the Dominican Republic. Overall, from this event we raised nearly $10,000! As our average loan is $100, that translates into 100 new loans to aspiring female entrepreneurs.

Madison Mallards Game on July 22nd, 2022

We were honored to be the non-profit spotlight of the Madison Mallards game on July 22nd! It was a great game and a great time. Here are some pictures of Wisconsin Microfinance board member Paul Ohlrogge, throwing the first pitch of the game with his grandson.  It was so nice to meet so many new people, and to get the chance to spread the word about Wisconsin Microfinance’s mission. Thanks again to the Mallards for this opportunity!
