Drumlin Ridge Winery Social - Thursday, June 22nd from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

Come experience Waunakee’s Drumlin Ridge Winery on Thursday afternoon, June 22 and support a local non-profit. You will meet Evan Lory, a Waunakee High School student who is an accounting apprentice with Wisconsin Microfinance as part of the Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship (YA) Program. Evan recently traveled to the Dominican Republic to deliver money he raised for small loans to women in the community of La Piedra. You’ll also be able to meet other members of the board of Wisconsin Microfinance, who will be sharing program successes and plans for the future. This is designed to be a low key, informal gathering for Wisconsin Microfinance to share information about the power of microfinance.

Drumlin Ridge Winey is co-hosting this event, and $2 from every glass of wine or bottle sold during the evening will go toward supporting Wisconsin Microfinance. While you sample the delightful wines Drumlin Ridge has to offer, you’ll be supporting a mission of empowering women. Mark your calendars for 4:30 – 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 22nd at Drumlin Ridge Winery at 6000 River Road in Waunakee. No advanced registration is required, so please show up and enjoy!

Thank you for supporting our 2022 Annual Gala - Ghanaian Epicurean Evening!

Wisconsin Microfinance’s 2022 dinner gala, called a Ghanaian Epicurean Evening, was a huge success. We would like to thank everyone that came out for this fantastic night including Ben Brako and his wife Dr. Tilly Brako, our We R uS partners in Ghana. We were delighted with a wonderful four course meal prepared by Chef Sean Fogarty of Steenbock’s on Orchard. Above is a picture of Chef Fogarty explaining each special Ghanaian dish. We had a couple goals for this gala and we’re proud to say we met them both. We wanted to share our accompishments from the past couple of years and raise funds for our new programs in Ghana and the Dominican Republic. Overall, from this event we raised nearly $10,000! As our average loan is $100, that translates into 100 new loans to aspiring female entrepreneurs.
