Introducing the New Co-Executive Directors!
February 21, 2017
Hello!
We are Meg DiPoto and Jane McCurry and we are the new co-executive directors of Wisconsin Microfinance! We are excited to take on this role and increase the visibility of Wisconsin Microfinance.
A note from Jane:
I am in my fourth year of five at the University of Wisconsin-Madison pursuing degrees in Operations and Technology Management and Environmental Studies. On campus, I am involved with the Chancellor’s Scholarship, the women’s varsity track and field team, and I currently serve as a co-president of the Ethical and Responsible Business Network.
I am very excited to be working for an organization founded by Tom Eggert, President of the organization’s Board of Directors, as I have had the pleasure of being both a student and teaching assistant to him in the past. In Tom’s classes, we learned about the power of microfinance using Wisconsin Microfinance as a case study. It is an honor to now work firsthand with this organization.
A note from Meg:
I am a Pre-Business student in my second year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Like Jane, I hope to eventually pursue a degree in both Operations and Technology Management and Environmental Studies. Outside of school, I participate in Slow Food-UW, play intramural soccer with my friends, and volunteer in the Madison community through Badger Volunteers.
Since my freshman year in high school, I have had the dream of leading a nonprofit. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to now lead Wisconsin Microfinance and I look forward to helping it grow.
As co-executive directors we would like to build on the work that the previous director, Tracy Harvey, has done to increase visibility on campus, connect with other organizations in the community with similar missions, and leverage outlets for fundraising to grow our impact.
We are passionate about the value of access to capital and empowering those who lack opportunities. Thank you for working with us and your continued support in creating a lasting impact.
